Synopsis: Set during the Republic of China, con artist Chen Mu Kun flees to Wuzufang Town after getting into trouble. Using the name of immortal Lu Dong Bin, he continues to deceive people, catching the attention of Lu Zu who decides to punish him. However, a twist of fate causes Dong Bin to lose his powers and he is forced to stay in the mortal world. He meets Mu Kun and together, they solve strange cases in the village. Along the way, they also meet brothel girl Bai Xue Hua, leading to complicated relationships. When Mayor Xin Hu steps down, Mu Kun sabotages bully Jin Shi Hao’s election campaign, ultimately leading to the new mayor Xin Zheng Yi implementing reforms that cause chaos in Wuzufang Town.
