  4. My favourite episode of this season thus far! All that humour and tension, immaculately balanced ugh this drama is too good!!

    How bloody cute are these two!! I couldn’t stop smiling watching their scenes, crossing my fingers these two get a happy ending! Idk whether the Beiqi princess is truly ditzy or if she’s putting up an act, but so far her chemistry with the First Prince is so fun to watch. Am hoping that the First Prince will eventually be on Fan Xian’s side or that he’ll at least be neutral and not go up against him cos it seems he’s the most decent and least corrupt of all the princes so far.

    What I love most about JoL is that even with characters that have done the most heinous and despicable acts (eg. Crown Prince and Second Prince), I still can’t help but to somewhat like them? They’re morbidly hilarious and funnily tragic, like I want FX to get rid of them but at the same time I want them to never leave my screen?

    Btw why did the actress for Wan Er’s friend changed? Is it because her role is bigger this season so they wanted a more famous actress for her? Cos you can’t tell me that the previous actress rejected it since JoL is the most highly anticipated drama in years and any actor would be eager to be in it

  5. I’m so happy that the 1st prince and the princess are getting along. Even though we really didn’t get to see much of the 1st prince but whenever he’s present, he sounds and looks that he has a good personality as a man and a prince.
    The princess is so naive and innocent but she seems like her skin is thick since she’s used to being around power fights between royalty. She really watched someone poison a prince in real time and didn’t even flinch XD I like her!!!

  7. “My life is on the line and I haven’t been this excited for so long” 🤯🤯The two princes fighting for the throne are true psychopaths. He is probably used to the drugs 😂so he is not worried. Ye’er (not sure about her name) doesn’t have to do much but act herself 😂 to force the 2nd prince to cancel the marriage, he cares so much about etiquette rules that she will annoy the hell out of him. The 1st prince knows his family for sure, just like the Swiss neutrality, does not get involved and just worries about his business, in this case Northern enchanting Qi princess 🫶🏼🥰🫶🏼
