Synopsis: To avert a looming crisis at their hands, the bureaucrats at the Financial Services Commission are struggling to find ways to save the “Jungin Bank” from filing bankruptcy as it may affect the financial situation of the country.
Biggest equity holder of the Bank is the government and opinions to sell the bank become stronger by the minute. A foreign bank back by the Wall street shows interest to buy it. But arguments are thrown around by the other stakeholders to not to sell it as it may affect the integrity of the Korean Banking structure, if sold to foreign parties.
