  3. I’m glad she opened up a little to him, it’s really hard to completely change who you are…she’s got 40 years experience keeping her true heart hidden and it’s not like she can just flip a switch and change how she reacts and interacts, it’s going to take time.
    Thank goodness he’s patient and even if he’s hurt by their previous misunderstandings, all he needed is a small gesture from her to know that his efforts aren’t in vain, as long as he knows that his pursuit is acceptable to her…he’ll very happily pursue her until they’re 40+ all over again.

  4. How does Su Rongqing know the Princess’s business so well. Is his brother feeding him all the secret facts or does he have other spies in her organization?

    Also even if he finds out from his brother and spies the identity of the assassin, how did he know the Minister was the one who hired the assassin in the first place?

    At this point I am almost positive that he has his memories from his previous life and knows the secret connection (perhaps a father and son relation) between the assassin and the Minister- same as the Princess and thus used this incident to figure out if the Princess has her memories of the past just like him.

    Su Rongqing is shady as heck, but neither his father nor his brother looks like villains and in his younger years he seemed to be a good person. Maybe he has ulterior motives for doing what he is doing and his ultimate goal is to protect the Princess, but he is constantly acting against her wishes so I don’t like him.
