am i bad person for crying over long sleeves death?
I seeeeee you like psychopaths donβt you?? π same here babe π₯΅
he did not die! there are too many loopholes in the theory that mun jo died.
the first series of events in the last episode we see – is the version jong woo tells the police.
the second series of events is what the policewoman concludes after seeing jong woo’s tooth bracelet.
AFTER these two sequences, then we have a look at jong woo’s memories.
1. he shouts “die” and kills all the residents.
2. goes to the fourth floor with the scalpel in his hand to finish mun jo, as well
3. mun jo gves him the final blow, telling him, “you enjoyed killing all the residents, didnt you?”
this is when he loses his mind, and starts hallucinating/his perception of reality bends – this is what his girl friend witnesses on the fourth floor.
what really happened was –
– mun jo beats the shit out of him on the third floor (HE GETS AN INJURY ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF HIS JAW – this is the easiest marker that helps us to differentiate reality from imagination, among others)
– drags him to the fourth floor and ties him to the chair. he wakes up and sees his girl friend, thinking she has died. this is when mun jo tells him that she hasnt actually dies, just put to sleep. – this is how mun jo fluctuates his control of his mind (gets sad/furious, then when he is instructed that he needs to kill all the people outside) – gets motivated to do it. imagine yourself in his place. youre instructed to kill the people you hate to your guts, and your life is saved if you do it – good deal, no? (for a killer, of course) this is backed by the fact that the police tells the policelady that the killer mustve really hated those people – beat them again and again even after theyve died – “mustve hated them alot” he says)
– mun jo puts the teeth bracelet on jong woo’s wrist, and then jong woo goes off to finish the residents
HERE, in his killing scenes, you see THE INJURY ON THE SIDE OF HIS JAW
– now after killing them all off, he returns to the fourth floor – in the first version we see him and mun jo fighting
— ONLY in these scenes where he is fighting mun jo, and then slitting his throat, you see THE INJURY MAGICALLY
DISAPPEAR?
— in his fighting sequence, you see mun jo him jon woo’s chest SIX TIMES with a hammer, but you see no chest injury when
jong woo is later shown in the ambulance/in the hospital. being hit on chest 6 times with such force would also incapacitate
you to walk for a while, but you see him perfectly walking/injuryless in the last hospital bench scenes.
so these fight scenes that you see between mun jo and jong woo is what he has cooked up/imagined, and they do not
actually takes place.
– in reality when he returns to the fourth floor, mun jo makes him realise that he enjoyed killing people – something that completely breaks him. he has been on the edge since his first day in soeul (day dreamt about hitting people, has violent flashbacks of his army days) – already had killer instinct in himself, but this surfaced these last days, and was finally put into action by mun jo.
– after realising this, his perception of reality is altered, what ji eun witnessed – he puts his hands on his throat, and says “spare my life”enacting mun jo, and then snaps out of it and says “it wasn’t me”, “i shouldve killed you” – IN THE LAST VERSION OF EVENTS, watch this scene again. just when mun jo says “you and I will be together forever”, his voice overlaps the scene when jong woo has put his hands on his throat – this does not happen in the entire series, these scenes overlap.
ANOTHER POINT FOR YOU TO PONDER UPON –
1. when you see jong woo lying on the fourth floor in the last scene when police finally arrives to the goshiwon, you can spot the teeth bracelet on his wrist. now this teeth wouldve been confiscated as ‘evidence’. However, you see jong woo had it put on even in the last hospital scenes when the policeowoman visits him. HOW was he able to keep it?
except if it was mun jo who actually visited him in the hospital and gave him back π
another back up, when we’re shown the first shot of jong woo’s hospital room (just before the policewoman visits ji eun i think), you see nothing on the desk near window in his room. but the policewoman visits jong woo to return his book, you spot a fruitbasket on that desk. who mustve visited him who gave him both the fruitbasket and the teeth bracelet? π note that the policewoman says that he wasnt willing to meet anyone but she was relieved that he agreed to meet her.
2. you see stalker shots (lol thanks to r/Nuba3 for this term) throughout the show whever mun jo is stalking jong woo – those shaky camera shots, they aren’t put anywhere *except* when mun jo is tailing somebody (mostly jong woo). in the last scene when the policewoman exits the hospital, we again see two stalker shots – implying that mun joo was behing the bushed behind her car, looking at her.
PLEASE, read the two posts by reddit used Nuba3 on this. It’s her brilliant take that made me OMFGGGG about the ending. people think the show’s ending is a case of lazy writing/predictable/underwhelming, but that is faarrrrr from reality. the director/scriptwriter carefully planted these clued throughtout the show, mostly in the last episode for viewers to catch on them. unfortunately the most popular theories have failed this.
Thanks for this explanation. I guesed this episode would be a normal end. But This Final episode is a real creation. mindblowing…..
this is goood

PLEASE, read the two posts by reddit used Nuba3 on this. It’s her brilliant take that made me OMFGGGG about the ending, she is just soooo much that she brings forward, it makes you appreciate the director/scriptwriter to whole new level. people think the show’s ending is a case of lazy writing/predictable/underwhelming, but that is faarrrrr from reality. the director/scriptwriter carefully planted these clued throughtout the show, mostly in the last episode for viewers to catch on them. unfortunately the most popular theories have failed this.
I thought that too, but if the detectives can confirm that Jong Woo killed Mun Jo in self defense as they explicitly stated, they probably have moon jo’s body. If there was a missing body/person wouldn’t they go looking for it? I agree on the bracelet part not making sense, they should remove it, but I honestly don’t think it makes logical sense for him to be alive even if it’s heavily suggested.
Good drama with a lazily written ending
booo you have no taste, haven’t you read the massive paragraph explaining the plot and plentiful loopholes??? they could have easily made a season 2 to clear this up but they didn’t because it’s meant to bee up to the watcher’s interpretation. just say your imagination sucks ass because you obviously can’t see the levels of creativity that went into this.
I think mun Jo have allured Jung woo’s mind. Because u can see in the last scene’s where mun Jo said to him that ” you are the best masterpiece I have ever created ” and also said that now Jung woo and mun Jo will be together forever ! So maybe according to me mun Jo did some kind of hallucinating thing on Jung woo ..that’s why Jung woo can imagine min Jo everywhere and mun Jo totally allured Jung woo’s mind .. and that tooth bracelet was never on the mun jo’s hand .. that was also a hallucination of Jung woo ..
I don’t know … This is totally my theory !!! But the series is outstanding … A total masterpiece!!! I also want season 2 of this series… Love u lee Wong dok
