Lmao at that gruesome song, so fitting of Xiangliu XD That’s why my boy Jing is the only one that deserves Xiaoyao, she’s literally his whole world and that’s exactly what she wants <3 All the while Feng Long dis fool asking everyone for permission except the actual person smdh.
XL rocking out on the Guqin gave me the giggles. Where was the rain and the gusts of wind and the scattering dry leaves….. It just caught me off guard. 😅 I’ll never get tired of TJC’s voice though.
And CX gave her a pretty, homey, cage…. It felt like CX, pre-XY reveal, was coming out. As long as she stays there alone……. with gramps….. he’s fine (stable)….… 😬
I’m not commenting on Ms Queen because we know she’s losing her mind. His entire harem could be dead by the time he gets back home… 🙃
all the guys are more proactive this time, hahaha!
cang xuan’s story becomes more heartbreaking. he wanted the throne so that he can protect himself and xiaoyao. but the throne put a thick wall between them. he feels this so he’s more stubborn on clinging on her now. xiaoyao is slowly withdrawing from their bond as she knows her presence might be harmful to his throne. to counter that, xuan always tries to narrow down the physical space between them.
every xiangliu and xiaoyao interaction is half flirting and half bitter farewell. and i always eat that up! tan jianci’s eyes can speak, i swear. i still feel they are the most emotionally connected out of all the ships. she is most attracted to him. whenever they’re together, xiaoyao is in her true self with a hint of girlypop. with xuan, she’s in trustworthy but baby sister mode. and with jing, she’s in lover mode. almost feel like she programmed herself that way. she taught herself to pour all the romantic love to jing because she doesn’t want xiangliu to enter her dream unless he drops his responsibilities. so she is still open to that possibility. i noticed that she is now braver on convincing xiangliu to choose her, perhaps because jing is unavailable now. she wants to try to subtly pursue her love for him when the opportunity permits even though she knows that she will fail every time, that all efforts are meaningless. but atleast she tried. they both have this look of, “one word from you, i’ll drop everything and will pour all the bottled feelings for you.” yet, they also knew they cannot forget the burden and responsibilities that their names carry. in the end, they merely dance around the fire for as long as they can. go girls, make me bleed more!
Back in the days, Royals tend to married within family to keep it in the family line. Although Xiao Yao and Cang Xuan doesn’t share the same parents, either their father or mother were sibling, so its like liking your first cousin who has a different last name. Yes, it seems gross, but it was normal back in the days. If there wasn’t any Jing and Xiang Liu, and Cang Xuan found Xiao Yao first back at that town, maybe things would have been different. So, Chi Chen is possibly Xiao Yao’s real father? They make it seems like he is in these last few episodes. Xiang Liu is so violent, every time he is with Xiao Yao, she ended up being physically abused. Jing has been so stressed, he has white hair, glad he is getting one step closer to finding out what happen that night. Fenglong is so clueless, he doesn’t know how to show affection, he is too immersed in warfare, he should married one of his soldier instead it would be a belter match.
this becoming boring
Season 2 starts with much pining and heartbreak over everyone’s unrequited love! Well, this series is back to captivate and hold us in its spell again. Hope the ending won’t disappoint.
Why didn’t the DOG GRANDPA UNCLE with *one arm -tell XL the reason why he can’t be with her just Spell it out! so everyone is clear..
When it comes to magic test this place is “the pits!”
Grandpa is like LET IT GO! he is Right too! I think “home girl” would be freaked out if she knew her BROTHER liked her romantically-
I still find Cang Xuan’s liking to Xiao Yao kind of gross. They’re close like brother and sister after all.
I think it’s pretty clear that their grandfather has figured out that Cang Xuan has feelings for Xiao Yao. They’re really laying on the grief and sadness pretty thick, haha! Everyone has been feeling down, except for Feng Long, who is oblivious to everything and totally obsessed with war strategies 😅😆. Although Cang Xuan’s toxic traits are slowly surfacing, it’s evident in the way he refuses to let her spend time away from him.
PS: I know the scene of Xiang Liu singing was supposed to be a serious affair, but I burst out laughing because his mannerism was so exaggerated.
