1. The thing about this series is that it’s a slow burner, much like ‘Dear Doctor, I’m Coming for Soul’, all of which I saw last week. The more you watch it, the more involved you get and then you can’t wait to watch the next episode. I really like the pace of this show and how the personality and motivations of the characters are developing. BL romances are rarely straightforward affairs and this one is no exception. What is original about this one is that Ram has developed a particular liking for Lukchub without romantic overtones so far. He’s very sure of himself, doesn’t care what other people think and has a sense of privilege that comes from his family being rich so he’s used to the best things in life, like the car he drives, a Porsche, which even his best friends haven’t ridden in, yet when Lukchub needed a lift to his faculty building, he immediately offered him one, much to the surprise of his friends. Lukchub on the other hand is more of an introvert, doesn’t talk much and whose main interest in life is his love of cooking, though he’s admired Ram from afar for two years and now they have become close friends, much to his surprise but also to his secret delight. Their friendship has wrought changes in both of them – Ram has become less of a picky eater since tasting the culinary delights made for him by Lukchub and has been made aware that as a campus celebrity, their relationship is being shipped, for and against, so that also obliges him to protect Lukchub from the negativity surrounding it and he subsequently conveyed his willingness to do that, while Lukchub has opened up, talks more and basks in his newfound friendship while retaining a certain innocence that is endearing. The upcoming party will be a seminal moment for these two and I can’t wait to see how events transpire for them.
