  2. I think the first time that I’ve seen this man in a positive character….

    and how I wished that he was the chairman, cz honestly, I was expecting the Chairman to be someone scary, or at least someone with a personality, at least an appropriate voice or height, but was extremely disappointed with what they gave after 8 episodes…🫤🫤🫤🫤 he literally himself looked like an employee more than the chairman….

I felt for the boy, as much as I loved Kim Deuk pal, I wanted Yi heon to come back and experience a “Normal” school life which he deserved….I wish the writer had found a way for them to co-exist in one body and help each other….him giving up on life was too much for someone who didn’t do anything wrong….

  14. This was a really interesting drama. So good.
    I’m upset Yi Heon gave up on his own life but it was his choice after all.
    It was nice to see the talk between Yi Heon and Se Kyung, I wanted Yi Heon to have a talk with Jae Min as well along with getting a proper apology 😞

  17. Despite this is a “Censored Adaptation Of Same-sex Original Work” according to MDL, it is a well produced drama series. Hats off to Yoon Chan Young for a great performance playing both Song Yi Heon and Kim Deuk Pal so well that I only see Deuk Pal interacting with a bunch of high schoolers.

    It was very satisfying to see the vixen kneeling before our protagonist.

    😭 I am sad though that Yi Heon gave up in the end. However, he did return and made peace with Se Kyung.

    This finale wrapped up well. I understand that Jae Min has to serve his time in Juvie, but I am not forgiving Se Kyung’s dad as an abusive father and a terrible prosecutor. Those who did wrong deserve punishment. I still like to see the female teacher who defended Yi Heon receive merit for being a righteous teacher.

    Overall, I have enjoyed the adaptation of High School Return of a Gangster and recommend it. 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

  18. Gosh the ending is good as well! I really enjoyed watching this. I loveeee the dynamics with Deuk Pal’s gang members lol .Also the other high school characters too. It was a great watch!!!

    Episodes 7 and 8 made me shed a bucket of tears

    No love line, just a crush with so much wisdom about family and friendship

    A very enjoyable 8 episodes. I will definitely come to watch you again. thank you to all the artist for this drama, you make a good Job

  21. (The lines coming out of Lee KyoungYoung’s mouth about “protecting children” almost made me throw up, ugh)

    DeukPal truly kept his promises to YiHeon but I guess his mind was always made up from the start. He seemed to have comeback for one last time before finally saying goodbye. Would have been nice for him to finally enjoy his life, but ngl I would have felt sad to see DeukPal go too. It was a nice twist that the ones who impacted YiHeon the most was able to see his spirit and say what finally needed to be said, especially with SeKyung.

    -JaeMin did the right thing
    -Evil bitch needed a bigger takedown
    -Mom recovering and getting her life back
    -SeKyung finally able to stop his control-freak dad in his tracks
    -DongSoo gets his beloved boss back (that gangster is too cute, haha)

    Was a very short but a very good adaptation! Really enjoyed it despite the differences from the original… well done! ★★★★★
