Synopsis: Follow the daily lives of the working class citizens of Portwood, a small and picturesque fishing village in the north of England. Through their struggles and triumphs, the characters grow and learn more about themselves, their relationships and the local community. In the series, the audience is introduced to a range of characters, including two brothers, a single mother, a fisherman and a pub landlord, who all face various personal and professional challenges that test their resilience. Through it all, the characters’ friendships, rivalries and romances help them navigate whatever life throws at them.
