    Mi Suk is typical asian mom to a T LoL. They see their kids as investments and a reason to show off to family, friends, relatives etc. While am sure Mi Suk had good intentions.. it also placed unnecessary pressure on Seok Ryu. She , too is a person with her own feelings.. dreams.. struggles..

  7. My god didn’t think I’d cry so early but here I am. Seok Ryu and her mom’s argument is nearly an identical parallel for myself. Being the oldest child, the oldest daughter, everything is hitting really hard. The fact that she wants to get nice stuff for her mom, her mom who saves it for special occasions, her life being so overwhelming and her wanting to reboot. Being in IT, maybe thats why that reboot aspect frames things for me as well so perfectly, but that’s exactly how it is.
    Her trying her best to hold everything together, but bits and pieces are leaking out here and there.
    I’m glad she has a support system in the form of her childhood friends

  8. I get why she was crying but she should’ve told her mother the exact reason.
    I also get why her mother was acting such. It might be very easy to say brush off the societal pressure but it’s a very dreadful thing. That whole thing in the bathroom was the reason why her mother was asking for explanation. At least if she had any clue what Seok Ryu had gone through, she might’ve been able to give it back to those gossipers.

  9. seokryu got discriminated at her work just cuz she works so hard and is in need of her fiance’s emotional support when she finds out that he’s cheating on her and how she’s acting like everything is okay? bae seokryu cry out all othe pain and emotions and i wanna hug her
    the scene hits hard when she randomly took a bus because sometimes we all need our own time by blindly riding a bus somewhere only to get drowned by our own thought💔
    seokryu wanted to reboot herself and hopefully everyone around her will accept her decision. suceess in life doesn’t mean you finally live your life you had dreamed of.

    she portrayed the first born daughter very well, as the first born daughter myself can confirm this, we act like we’re doing just fine when we’re actually not, it hits me like hell😭
    “don’t force yourself to smile too much and only focus on doing one thing”😭
    she’s telling all the funny memories together to keep her emotions away but seunghyo noticed and told her to not forced laugh and cry if she feel, the way seokryu just burst into tears right after that
    he’s such a gentleman, he knows her inside out like nobody

    also he even omg they did the same starry night ceiling deco as high schoolmates, omg they are gonna be the d&ath of me😭 also seunghyo moves back into his old house and lives next to seokryu again probably because she’s back, this is insane😭

    LOL hahaha forgive my deluluness because I truly think he’s down bad for her from the start but he just brushes it off.

    Maybe one of the true reasons he moved back because he put up his own office in their neighborhood but I chose to believe otherwise–he moved back in for her hahaha

  11. The scene where she gifted him a tree just to keep as a memory so that he remembers her-its a huge foreshadowing of her possibility of dying.Maybe,she did a mistake in her job due to her illness & overreacted then.

  12. It warms my heart to finally see Jung Hae In NOT in a heartbreaking, tearjerking, depressing dramas 😂😂 He’s amazing in those tho.

    Best friend/childhood friend turn lovers has always been one of my favorite trope BECAUSE in these kind of dramas both ML and FL are always a whole green forest. They bicker and fight exactly at the right portion but always have the best interest at hearts for each other. And since both already know each other on a deeper level, it’s heartwarming to see how both leads care for and help each other without being too much or too obsessive. No questions asked, just being there for each other, and saying all the right things with the knowledge of each others’ mind and heart. It’s always all those kind of nice little details that I enjoy the most.

    And the mom… Gosh… I crieeed seeing Seok Ryu’s rebuttal towards the mom and I think most of us could relate to what Seok Ryu felt. Well, since I’m not a parent yet, I can’t speak on the mom’s standpoint.
    But for someone who have lived with that kind of mom, I think the problem is the fact that most parents have always unconsciously treated their children as their trophy in the disguise of “this thing will make you happy”, and I don’t think they realized that too? They often set the benchmark of what “success” is based on their own life. Even when we tell them that we re-defined the idea of “success” in our own dictionary, they’d pull the “I’ve lived longer than you, you know nothing” card. At least that’s what I think when my mom is suddenly throwing tantrums 😂
    I mean, I understand that parents want best for their children but as a child (adult), sometimes I want them to take step back and let me figure it out on my own. Like… Idk how to exactly convey it in words ahahaha. In short, let me fail and be flawed in my own ways without asking much questions? It’s not that I want to be disrespectful, but at times it’s just emotionally draining.

  13. so far i really enjoy this drama, its such a breath of fresh air compared to all the dark pathetic cheating ass husband dramas lately lmao.
    i just hope that her ex fiance doesnt magically show up infront of her, but i can already guess thats going to happen. but hopefully by the time he comes, our ml and fl are together.

  14. I’m waiting for the story/drama of Seunghyo’s family. Looks like the father and mother are estranged. Also, from the looks of it Seokryu’s mom is closer to Seunghyo rather than his real mom. His colleague even mistook Seokryu’s mom as SH’s mom. I get that both the parents travel a lot because of their work as mentioned that the mom is a diplomat. So, I think Seunghyo’s family will also have significant scenes in the story which might affect him greatly.

    This is what I hate when I watch an ongoing drama I have so many questions and theories what will happen next episode just because I love the casts, I have to watch real time and be updated coz I hate spoilers in social media. The dreadful waiting for a week starts now again.

  15. Is this a trend? Anyone have noticed? Like for the past year or earlier this year there are lots of dramas with the trope of time travel. And now, as I watch cdrama, jdrama and kdramas most of the female leads have ruined romance or first love before they met or got together with their male leads. The male leads have never been in a relationship coz they happened to have unrequited love for the FL.

    Most of the dramas I watched this year always have this prompt for the female leads.

  19. The topic they covered today is truly universal and common. Usually, parents who haven’t achieved professional success try to compensate for this through their children, so they perceive their successes as their own and their failures as the end of the world. It’s understandable that every parent wants the best for their child, but there is often a fine line crossed between good intentions and selfishness. What is best in the opinion of parents (success, career, fame, marriage at any cost) doesn’t necessarily make their children happy. Failures and mistakes are what allow us to learn and build an even better version of ourselves.

    I like how their relationship slowly progresses, it doesn’t seem forced but spontaneous and quite realistic.
    It’s so great that he knows how to say the right words at the right time, which is not a trait of many people. He doesn’t pamper her too much, but he knows how to comfort her when her strength is running out.
    Child actors are, as usual, phenomenal.

    and the last scene where he saves her from falling, with his band on her back and falling into him like that????? how can you resist someone so hot??? Am I unable to understand it cause I never had a hot guy for a friend?? But well she is getting him in the end so I guess its alright.

    keeping my horny me aside, how can korean all asian parents never be understanding of their children?????? Like she is in her thirties, of course she must have had some problems if she quit everything and came back, right??? Believe in your children, oh dear parents. I was getting so angry with her mom when she lied and treated her as if she was pest that she worked so hard to remove and is back to taunt her.
    I was getting so fed up thinking it was gonna go same route with truth coming out and her mother being “aaigo my daughter.. she was in so much pain and I never understood her. blah blah sh*t”, but thank god her mom was a little better and started making amends as soon as she realized how wrong she was.

  25. I already know that this is going to be the best drama that I watch this year (I say this fully conscious of the amazing dramas that are lined up)
    The COM in this Rom-com is definitely COMEDYING.
    This is the first time Jung Hae In is doing a comedy and he is already absolutely owning the role. While also being such a boy in love.
    oh man I really love seeing him be in love. His eyes are just 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽.
    if someone ever looked at me like this I would simply faint.
    the chemistry between Jung Hae In and Jung So Min is soooo good.
    i mean both their characters have not met each other for a bunch of years but the moments they lay their eyes on each other they are back at their shenanigans. I watched yesterday’s episode 2 times because I liked both of them so much.
    the second couple is also super cute.

    aaaaahhhhh. I am so happy that this drama is finally here.

    As you get older you understand your parents more and all they want is to give you the life they never got or had. They put all their expectations on you to live their dreams but your kids have their own dreams and they need to do what makes them happy and find their way in life. Support and love them. Watching Seokryu stuggle alone broke my heart.

    I get her mum wanting to know what happened, but you need to be patient and let her come to you. We appreciate the sacrifices you have made but even if your kids are older they need to come to you when they are ready to talk.

I cried a lot this episode, i feel so bad for FL, it seems like she came back cause her fiance cheated and she quit her job due to her co-workers nasty remarks im also disappointed in her mum for brushing off the comment she made about being exhausted during the fight, its not also fair to place such high expectations on your child for the sake of public image, im glad she eventually realised how hurt and tired FL must have been to give up just a ‘perfect’ life. I still think she should apologise to FL for all those insane comments she made during the fight, re-doing her room and wearing her brooch isnt enough to erase how nasty and hurtful what she said was. And those ajummas in the bathroom, i wanted to rip their hair clean off their heads for making such comments, grown ahh women pushing 70 should be ashamed of such middle school level actions.

    The jungle gym scene 🥺🥺🥺🥺, he recognised immediately how she was trying to laugh through the pain, i cant wait for their love to blossom!!!

    The scene with the reporter and ML helping the poor lady was soooo wholesome.

    10/10 episode, i cant wait for next weeeeekkkkk!!

  31. “My little Baby”, I am in love with little Seok Ryu 🥰 She was a sneaky kid who never let the poor little introverted new kid have a breather. And guess what? They are still the same. I’m loving the FL-ML’s dynamic a lot❣️ The friends to lovers trope is working its magic on me.
